International cooperation in the RES sector

Domestic specialists shared their experience in the development of renewable energy, mechanisms for attracting investors and implementing new projects in the renewable energy sector with a delegation of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal on April 17-19 in Astana.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) organized a workshop to share experience within the Energy of Central Asia and Urja Nepal projects. Representatives of the Ministries of Energy of the two countries and key companies in the energy sector spoke about the features and approaches to the development of RES. Zamira Akhmetova, Chief Manager of the Forecasting and Development Department of RFC for RES LLP, spoke about the activities of the Single RES Electricity Purchaser, the mechanism of interaction in the market, reduction of auction prices and their indexation, and implemented projects in the RES generation sector.
